This Mid-Autumn and Golden Week, One Central Macau invites you into an enchanting world inspired by the city’s rich heritage, where illuminated artistry, interactive encounters and rewarding surprises bring the autumn holidays to life.
At One Central Macau, Moonlight Garden casts the surroundings in an alluring new light. Created with local visual artist Vitorino Vong and contemporary calligrapher Amy Lam Hoi Leng, the installation unites Vitorino’s evocative realism with Amy’s graceful Chinese calligraphy in a distinctive dialogue between East and West.
Amid suspended clouds, jade rabbits and lanterns, paper-cut silhouettes of local landmarks carry wishes for romance, prosperity, family harmony and wellbeing. A magnificent full moon sets the scene for shadow-puppet photos, while a digital lantern display allows guests to send personal blessings across the screen.
Beyond the atrium, the Moonlight Lantern Promenade presents a series of illuminated outdoor lanterns, where Amy’s original verses meet Vitorino’s visual interpretations in a poetic tribute to Macau.
